In 1964, our journey began when Thomas Barton and his close friend, Jack Redman, embarked on a mission to supply the local chip shops with the finest quality potatoes. What started as a humble endeavor organically grew into a dynamic enterprise, as we ventured into the flourishing Asian produce trade.
Today, the Barton family proudly continues at the helm, steering the course set by our founders. We've evolved to become one of the United Kingdom's foremost fresh fruit and vegetable wholesalers, earning recognition from the industry. Our comprehensive product range, supported by dedicated teams in strategic locations around the globe, has been key to our success.
Situated at New Smithfield Market in Manchester, our headquarters serve as the beating heart of our operations. Here, we occupy traditional pitches, and our modern, purpose-built refrigerated warehouse is a hub of activity, housing our sales, quality assurance, and logistics teams. It's from here that we meticulously oversee the distribution of our premium fresh produce to our cherished customers, both nationally and internationally.
